About The Role
The Health Information Management Manager Provides dedicated operational leadership across the system, allowing the System Director to focus on strategy, governance, and external requirements, plays a critical role in overseeing the accurate collection, storage, and protection of patient health information within a healthcare organization. This position ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards related to health information management and privacy. The manager leads a team responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of medical records, facilitating efficient data retrieval, and supporting clinical and administrative decision-making. They collaborate with healthcare providers, IT professionals, and regulatory bodies to implement best practices and innovative solutions for health information systems. Ultimately, this role drives the optimization of health information processes to enhance patient care quality and organizational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field..
Minimum of 5 years of experience in health information management, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and standards related to health information privacy and security.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data analytics and reporting tools specific to healthcare data.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and experience leading cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities
Provides dedicated operational leadership across the system, allowing the System Director to focus on strategy, governance, and external requirements
Manages day-to-day HIM operations across multiple facilities to ensure consistency and accountability
Supports system growth by scaling HIM workflows, staffing, and processes as services expand
Leads implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of health information systems (EHRs and hybrid systems)
Ensures standardized policies, procedures, and documentation practices system-wide
Provides onsite and facility-level oversight to address operational issues in real time
Improves data quality, accuracy, and timeliness across all facilities
Strengthens compliance with regulatory, legal, accreditation, and privacy requirements
Coordinates audits, risk management, and corrective action plans
