Senior IT Project Manager – Security & Technical Implementation (Contract)
We’re looking for an experienced
Senior IT Project Manager
to lead the implementation of advanced security controls and technical initiatives across a large, complex digital ecosystem. This role sits within a cybersecurity-focused organization and plays a critical part in safeguarding sensitive data, improving operational maturity, and driving aligned technical change across multiple business units.

About the Role
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that support information security, technology modernization, and operational excellence. You’ll manage projects from planning through delivery, ensuring technical, operational, and policy-driven changes are implemented consistently, on time, and in alignment with organizational standards.
You’ll work closely with business, technology, operations, cybersecurity, and vendor partners — driving clarity, reducing risk, and enabling secure, scalable solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
Own end-to-end delivery of technical and security-driven projects.
Create and manage integrated project plans, roadmaps, and resource forecasts.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and vendor partners.
Oversee risk mitigation, change control, budget tracking, and project reporting.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Build strong relationships across business and technical teams.
Facilitate steering committees, working groups, and executive updates.
Provide clear, data-driven reporting and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure alignment across competing priorities and stakeholder groups.
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
Introduce and champion project management best practices and standardized tools.
Lead process improvements that streamline execution and accelerate outcomes.
Support financial governance and vendor coordination.
Foster collaboration and a “one team” environment across departments.
Data, Reporting & Insights
Contribute to KPI development and reporting frameworks.
Maintain dashboard reporting to provide visibility into delivery metrics and security posture.
Ensure accurate, timely reporting for executives and program sponsors.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to corporate governance, cybersecurity policies, and privacy requirements.
Support PMO operations including intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
Maintain thorough documentation and audit-ready project artifacts.
Required Skills & Experience
5–8+ years of project management
experience in enterprise environments and policy integration.
Strong background leading
cross-functional, technical, and/or cybersecurity projects
.
Experience with
health technology or digital platforms
is an asset.
Deep understanding of
information security frameworks and best practices
.
Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and interdependencies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience with
Agile, hybrid, and waterfall
delivery models.
Proficiency with PM tools such as
Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet, ServiceNow
.
Skilled in dashboarding and insights using tools like
Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio
.
Comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics
, or related field.
PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2
, or equivalent PM certification.
Agile/Scrum certification is an asset.
